Dozens of fashion weeks have passed and numerous new trends and creative marvels have been discovered. Scouring through countless pictures and hours of footage made me realise that my favourite trends are those hidden behind the eloquently-conducted shows, amidst the backstage pandemonium. The choice of hair, make up and other nuances made by the designers to complement their creations, dictates the way we wear our hair or lips for the season. I sifted through hundreds of shows and numerous fashion weeks and drew out the trends that deserve emulation. Scroll down for a visual representation of the ones that stood out for me:
The Fresh Face: This trend will always be in vogue. Its clean, young and timeless. Keep the colours natural and well-blended.
The Statement Lip: Choose from anywhere on the colour wheel but keep it neat. Naked eyes to accompany the popping lip was the prominent trend.
Winged-Eye: I don’t remember when this trend was not in vogue. Using colours other than black seems the way to do it this season.
The B&W Nail: A bit of black and a bit of white and we’re good to go, regardless of the choice of outfit.
